Information We Collect

SameShot does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

• No accounts or sign-ups — SameShot does not require registration.
• No analytics or tracking — We do not use any analytics frameworks or track your usage.
• No advertising — SameShot contains no ads and no ad-related tracking.
• No network calls — SameShot does not connect to the internet. It is fully offline.
• No crash reporting — We do not collect crash logs or diagnostic data.

Data Stored on Your Device

SameShot stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Photos you capture — Before and after images are saved in the app's private storage directory.
• Photo pair metadata — Dates and file references are stored using an on-device database.

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to save photos to your Photo Library.

Camera and Photo Library Access

SameShot requests the following permissions:

• Camera — Required to capture before and after photos. Camera access is used only when you actively take a photo.
• Photo Library (Add Only) — Required only when you choose to save comparisons to your Photo Library. SameShot cannot read or browse your existing photos.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in Settings > SameShot.

Third-Party Services

SameShot does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks that collect data.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any data with third parties. There is no data to share.

Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual comparisons within the app, or delete all data by uninstalling SameShot.

Children's Privacy

SameShot does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.

Your Rights

Since SameShot does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on our end. All data is under your control on your device.

For users in the European Union (GDPR), California (CCPA), or other jurisdictions with data protection laws: SameShot does not process any personal data, so these regulations do not apply to your use of the app. You retain full control of all data stored locally on your device.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated effective date.
